If your purchase of Office came with a product key, you enter your product key on one of the websites listed below for your version of Office. After you enter your key, you can download and install Office, or you can renew your Office 365 subscription.

To redeem a new purchase of Office

If you see the error This product key has already been used when you enter your product key on www.office.com/setup, this means your product key has already been redeemed and is no longer needed.

Microsoft HUP
These steps apply only to Office Professional Plus, Visio Professional, or Project Professional.
Step 1: Start an Office app, like Word, Project, or Visio, depending on your purchase.
Step 2: In the Sign in to set up Office window, select I don't want to sign in or create an account (it's a small link at the bottom of the window).

My product key isn't working
First, make sure that you're entering the key correctly on the right site. If you aren't sure which site to use, you can enter your product key using the Virtual support agent (English only). If your product key is valid, the Virtual support agent provides a link to download Office. The Virtual support agent can also let you know if your product key has been blocked and can connect you to a live agent.

Use the following information to install Remote Desktop Services client access licenses (CALs) on the license server. Once the CALs are installed, the license server will issue them to users as appropriate.
Note you need Internet connectivity on the computer running Remote Desktop Licensing Manager but not on the computer running the license server.
Install License Key Windows 10
- On the license server (usually the first RD Connection Broker), open the Remote Desktop Licensing Manager.
- Right-click the license server, and then click Install licenses.
- Click Next on the welcome page.
- Select the program you purchased your RDS CALs from, and then click Next. If you are a service provider, select Service Provider License Agreement.
- Enter the information for your license program. In most cases, this will be the license code or an agreement number, but this varies depending on the license program you're using.
- Click Next.
- Select the product version, license type, and number of licenses for your environment, and then click Next. The license manager contacts the Microsoft Clearinghouse to validate and retrieve your licenses.
- Click Finish to complete the process.
